For a man that often rails against public employees, he sure must like being one now. After spending eight years as Governor, Daniels now becomes another public employee as President of Purdue University when he leaves office. He gets the job with few of the normal qualifications that college Presidents typically have.

That means we now have a rudderless ship at the state level.
The proper thing would be for Governor Daniels to resign and turn this executive branch over to Lieutenant Governor Becky Skillman. I thought Mitch was a lot of things, but I never thought he'd be in this thing just for the check.

Sometime you look like an idiot. I was reminded, as I had forgotten, that the legislative session is over now. It was a dumb and stupid thing for me to overlook that. Still, I stand behind the rest of the post.

This is a dumb post. There is zero partisan activity happening the rest of the term. He won't be vetoing bad bills because the legislature is in session.
A governor can do in the 9 months after his last session is make sure the state is running well. That doesn't require any partisan work.
The only thing he's preventing himself from doing is actively participating in the elections.
This is a dumb comment. We need a Governor and not a caretaker. If he has no purpose other than to sit and wait, he needs to go focus on his next public employee job.
Resign and let Skillman do the heavy lifting.
I must say that I forgot the legislative session is over.

You know Jon with the temperment of Governor Daniels he should resign and prepare himself for the new job on his own dime. He does not need the money as an lame duck governor. Maybe he does not trust his Lt. Governor. He sure has not appointed any women to the state supereme court.
Man u biased democratic Gods are so blind. We are the only state that will be receiving a surplus tax refund because of how well our state economy is going and how well we have been taken care of by this "Lame Duck Governor". If only our "Lame Duck President" would take a gander over to Indiana and learn something, maybe we wouldn't need to tax the job creating rich. Of whom I am not one if you are wondering.
I am an independent and am not a republican either, and I do not agree with everything this governor has done. But the proof is in the pudding so to speak.
Now you can bash me as I know you will but it will be unsupported babble because what I say is true and if you look deep down you know it to be.
